Lhasa Private Tours for Photographers
The Overview of 4 Days Lhasa City Tour
The four-day Lhasa city tour offers a seamless introduction to the holy Lhasa, combining must-visit landmarks with the flexibility for you to make your own memories. Tailored specifically for photographers, the relaxed itinerary enables you to photograph the Potala Palace bathed in golden light at dawn or capture the vivid colors of Barkhor Street. There's no need to worry about being rushed by a tight schedule.
The Day to Day Itinerary of 4 Days Lhasa City Tour
Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa
On your arrival in Lhasa, our tour guide will meet you at the airport or train station and accompany you to your hotel. For the rest of the day, please rest well and adjust to the high altitude.
Day 2: Lhasa City Tour - Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery
The day begins with a visit to the Drepung Monastery. As the largest monastery in Tibet, it offers a remarkable sight. The extensive courtyards and numerous chambers of this spiritual complex provide countless vantage points for you to capture the breathtaking landscapes that surround it. Whether you're shooting from elevated terraces or secluded corners, the monastery's architecture harmoniously blends with its surrounding natural beauty.
In the afternoon, head to Sera Monastery, where monks in red gowns are debating with great heat. Here, you'll see monks in vibrant red robes, shouting, whispering and gesturing as they are deeply immersed in spirited debates. The contagious passion and earnestness in their debates make it possible for you to capture powerful scenes.
Day 3: Lhasa City Tour - Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street
In the morning, welcome to the highest palace in the world. The Potala Palace, with its iconic backdrop, presents photographers with endless creative possibilities. The Potala Palace's magnificent golden rooftops and deep-red walls contrast beautifully with the boundless azure sky. Moreover, the backdrop changes in a most dramatic way as the seasons pass. Autumn bestows the palace with golden colors, and winter clothes it in a pristine white, each season offering exclusive opportunities for taking photos.
Next, you will visit Jokhang Temple. Jokhang Temple and its square is a microcosm of Tibetan culture and spirituality, bustling with people from all walks of life. The devout believers prostrating themselves are easily spotted and Tibetan people in traditional attire add colors to the scene. A photo taken here, with their consent, would carry a story that transcends words.
Barkhor Street is adjacent to Jokhang Temple. The street, always bustling with activities, is a perfect example of how ancient and modern elements can coexist harmoniously. Here, you can explore intricate details of ancient Lhasa buildings or the lively interactions of Tibetan people.
Today's itinerary ends with an experience at a sweet tea house, where you can savor authentic Tibetan sweet tea.
Day 4: Depart from Lhasa
Today brings your Tibet tour to an end. Please check your departure flight or train information with our guide ahead of time. There will be an escort to lead you to the airport or train station.
Conclusion
As an alternative, you can freely decide on the attractions you want to visit. Our tour consultant will meticulously design an itinerary that caters specifically to your wishes. Feel free to ask about your Tibet trip!
