Tibet Travel Permit: Can Its Validity Be Extended?
This is one of the most common questions we get from travelers whose plans change, and the answer is: It depends on the situation.
If your Tibet Travel Permit hasn't been issued yet: Our agency can help adjust your itinerary and reapply for a revised permit. This is ideal if you're still finalizing plans and need flexibility.
If your Tibet Travel Permit is already issued: Modifying dates or destinations requires a new application, costing around ¥400 in administrative fees and taking 8–9 business days.

If you've already entered Tibet: Changing your itinerary mid-trip is tricky. Your Tibet Travel Permit's original dates and destinations are logged in border systems, and discrepancies will lead to checkpoints issues. While we can assist with urgent extensions, approval isn't guaranteed.
Therefore, the application process of Tibet Travel Permit requires careful coordination and time. By finalizing your plans early, you give yourself and our team the necessary window—I recommend starting the process at least a month before your departure—to secure your permit without any last-minute panic. This foresight is especially crucial during peak travel seasons when government processing times can be longer.

This early-bird approach does more than just secure your permit. It gives you the mental space to properly prepare for an adventure on the high plateau. You can focus on the exciting parts, like reading up on Tibetan culture, and getting physically ready for the altitude, rather than worrying about paperwork, as well as the optimal discount.
Ultimately, investing time in planning upfront is the best way to ensure your Tibetan dream trip is filled with awe-inspiring moments, not administrative headaches.

Conclusion
I hope this guide clears up the process for you. Remember, we're here to handle the paperwork for your convenience.

plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April
Hi! I would like to plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April (3rd to 10th ideally) to Nepal, Tibet, and, if possible, Bhutan. Do you think it would be doable? Based on what I read, there are some places/things to do to consider: Nepal: Everest Base Camp trek and the Annapurna Circuit, ancient temples, sacred sites like Lumbini, Kathmandu, Tibet: The Potala Palace in Lhasa and the Jokhang Temple. eventually the holy Mount Kailash or the high-altitude plains. Bhutan: Thimphu, Paro, and the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery. To take part in cultural traditions, yoga, meditation... Of course I am open to any recommendations you could make. For your reference, we are both based in Asia: him, in Bangkok and myself in Macau. Thank you so much for the information you could provide and, if possible, an estimated budget for your offer.
