Tibet Group Tour Cost per Person 2025
According to the latest prices for 2025, if you choose to travel during the off-peak season and opt for the economical accommodation (4-star hotel) in a Tibet group tour package that only covers Lhasa, the cost per person is around $490.
It's important to understand that the pricing can be influenced by several factors. Firstly, Tibet has distinct peak and off-peak seasons for tourism. The off-peak season generally falls between April to May and from late October to January. During these periods, there are fewer tourists, which leads to lower operational costs for tour operators, resulting in more affordable tour prices. Typically, you can enjoy discounts of about 10% to 30% off the peak season prices. Secondly, the type of accommodation you choose within the tour package also affects the cost. There are options for both budget and luxury stays. The budget option is more cost-effective, while the luxury option offers higher-end amenities and services. Thirdly, the complexity of the itinerary plays a significant role. A simple, short trip around Lhasa will cost less compared to a more extensive tour that includes remote attractions, longer durations, and special experience activities.

The itineraries are efficiently planned to maximize your experience without compromising on quality.
Our short-term economy Tibet travel packages are priced between $490 and $780 per person annually, providing excellent value for exploring the region. If you prefer a more comfortable stay, our luxury options, ranging from $530 to $890, offer enhanced accommodation while maintaining the same enriching sightseeing experience. The primary difference between the two types lies in the choice of hotels.
Mid-Term Trips to Tibet within 10 Days
Tibet's mid-range tours primarily focus on key areas including Lhasa, Yamdrok Lake, and southern regions such as Shigatse City, Everest Base Camp, Gyirong Border Port, Damxung Grassland, and the vicinity of Namtso Lake. This itinerary avoids remote areas, minimizing travel time and allowing for a more efficient exploration of Tibet's highlights. A 6- to 10-day tour offers a deep dive into the region's culture, landscapes, and spirituality, covering classic attractions like the Potala Palace, sacred lakes, and dramatic mountain vistas.
Economy packages are priced between $760 and $1,240, providing comfortable accommodations and essential services, while luxury options are priced between $980 and $1,550.
Long-Term Trips to Tibet within 17 Days
Tibet's long-distance tours typically include remote areas like trekking to Mount Kailash in Ngari Prefecture or trekking in the Karma Valley. These packages build on mid-range itineraries by adding multi-day trekking adventures, extending the total trip duration to 13 to 17 days due to the time required for trekking. Perfect for adventurous travelers seeking self-challenging and immersive experiences, these tours showcase Tibet's untouched wilderness and spiritual landscapes. Please note that winter closures make these routes inaccessible from November to February.
Economy packages for these long-distance Tibet trips range from $1,980 to $2,220, covering trekking permits, basic camping gear, and local guides. Luxury options are priced between $2,340 and $3,170.
