How to Book Tibet Airport Transfers in Advance
Lhasa Gonggar Airport is the primary gateway to and from Tibet for most international travelers, and there are good reasons for that. It boasts well-connected international and domestic flight networks, making it easily accessible from major cities around the world. Located about 60 kilometers away from downtown Lhasa, the journey from the airport to the city center usually takes around an hour by car, depending on traffic conditions. Nestled at an altitude of approximately 3,570 meters, it gives visitors a first taste of the high-altitude environment that Tibet is famous for, allowing them to start acclimatizing gradually as soon as they land.

Airport Transfers Included in Our Travel Packages
Even if you book our most economical travel package, you can enjoy the convenience of included airport transfer services. On the day of your arrival (pick-up day) and the day of your departure (drop-off day), we will take care of all the transfers between the airport and your hotel. During the transfer, an English and Tibetan-speaking guide will be with you. This 1-hour or so ride is not just a simple journey; the guide will share fascinating insights into Tibet's unique customs, traditions, and breathtaking landscapes, helping you get a preliminary understanding of this magical land. What's more, the vehicles we provide are all professional tourist vehicles, designed to maximize passengers' comfort, ensuring you have a pleasant start and end to your Tibet trip.

Booking Online Ride-Hailing Services
In China, ride-hailing apps like Didi Chuxing and Gaode Maps can also be used to book transfers from the airport to the city. Take Didi as an example, the steps are quite straightforward. First, open the app and enter the airport as your pick-up location and your hotel address as the destination. Then, you can easily find the airport transfer service option. Before placing an order, the app allows you to get an estimated price, which is usually around 200 yuan. If you are traveling with other passengers, you can split the cost, making it more economical. These apps also offer a reservation function. You can schedule a ride in advance, and the driver will arrive at the designated pick-up point at the agreed time, so you don't have to worry about waiting around.

Conclusion
Booking your Tibet airport transfer in advance is a simple yet important step to ensure a smooth start and end to your trip. Whether you choose the hassle-free included service in our travel packages, with the added bonus of a knowledgeable guide, or opt for the flexibility of online ride-hailing apps, planning ahead will save you time and effort.

plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April
Hi! I would like to plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April (3rd to 10th ideally) to Nepal, Tibet, and, if possible, Bhutan. Do you think it would be doable? Based on what I read, there are some places/things to do to consider: Nepal: Everest Base Camp trek and the Annapurna Circuit, ancient temples, sacred sites like Lumbini, Kathmandu, Tibet: The Potala Palace in Lhasa and the Jokhang Temple. eventually the holy Mount Kailash or the high-altitude plains. Bhutan: Thimphu, Paro, and the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery. To take part in cultural traditions, yoga, meditation... Of course I am open to any recommendations you could make. For your reference, we are both based in Asia: him, in Bangkok and myself in Macau. Thank you so much for the information you could provide and, if possible, an estimated budget for your offer.
