Tibetan Handicrafts: the Most Valuable Souvenirs in Tibet Trip
When you visit Barkhor Street in Tibet, you will definitely be surrounded by various kinds of goods. Of these goods, the undoubted highlight is the exquisite Tibetan Handicrafts, which are brightly colored, with obvious exotic styles and delicate patterns. You are sure to come across a souvenir that you want to take home. Therefore, before your trip to Tibet, having a knowledge of Tibetan handicrafts will help you better choose your favorite souvenir as a collection or as a gift. Here is a guide for you to prepare for your selection of Tibetan souvenirs.
Tibetan Knife
Tibetan knife is a must-have item for Tibetans with thousands of years of history. It is intended for cutting meat, self-defense, and decoration. Tibetan knife is not only very practical, but also has high artistic appreciation value. The blade of the Tibetan knife is forged from good steel. Tibetan knife handle is mostly made of horns, beef bones or wood, and the exclusive Tibetan knife handle is wrapped with silver wire, copper wire, etc. Some scabbards of Tibetan knives are engraved with various patterns such as beautiful birds, beasts, flowers and plants, and some are even inlaid with various gems and colored stones, making them look gorgeous. It is noted that Tibetan knives can’t be boarded by plane or train, but can be delivered by courier company. If you have a Tibetan knife in your house, every guest who comes to your house will feel amazed at it.

Thangka
Thangka is a unique art form of Tibetan Buddhism, which reflects the rich Tibetan customs and Tibetan religion. It is similar to scroll painting, painted on cloth or paper. For those who believe in Tibetan Buddhism, thangkas are a medium for communicating with the gods. By staring at thangkas, Tibetan practitioners can focus and enter a state of meditation. For non-religious people, thangkas are also an important window to understand Tibetan Buddhist culture. Religious themes are the main content of thangkas, and some thangkas reflect Tibetan history or Tibetan scientific and cultural knowledge. You can bring Thangka back to your country and become a messenger of spreading Tibetan culture. Devout belief will make your heart greater.

Tibetan Incense
Tibetan incense raw materials are mostly sourced from the plateau region. The pollution-free growth environment guarantees the purity of the raw materials. On the one hand, Tibetans use Tibetan incense to make pilgrimages to worship Buddha and ward off evil spirits. On the other hand, igniting Tibetan incense made of medicinal materials and spices can make the air fresh with a healing effect. The production of Tibetan incense has a history of more than a thousand years. At every major Tibetan religious festival, the places of ceremonies are filled with the rich fragrance of Tibetan incense. When you return home, smell the Tibetan incense again and your memories of Tibet travel will be revoked.

Tibetan Carpet
The materials of Tibetan carpets are high-quality wool selected from the northern Tibetan plateau, dyed from plants, and carefully woven by artists. Tibetan carpets have a history of more than 2,000 years and are a treasure of traditional Tibetan handicrafts. Together with Persian carpets and Oriental art carpets, they are known as the "three famous carpets" in the world. Show your concern by giving Tibetan carpets to your family or friends. Whether they use Tibetan carpets for keeping warm or as a sofa decoration, they will definitely feel happy to receive your heartwarming gifts.
Conclusion

plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April
Hi! I would like to plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April (3rd to 10th ideally) to Nepal, Tibet, and, if possible, Bhutan. Do you think it would be doable? Based on what I read, there are some places/things to do to consider: Nepal: Everest Base Camp trek and the Annapurna Circuit, ancient temples, sacred sites like Lumbini, Kathmandu, Tibet: The Potala Palace in Lhasa and the Jokhang Temple. eventually the holy Mount Kailash or the high-altitude plains. Bhutan: Thimphu, Paro, and the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery. To take part in cultural traditions, yoga, meditation... Of course I am open to any recommendations you could make. For your reference, we are both based in Asia: him, in Bangkok and myself in Macau. Thank you so much for the information you could provide and, if possible, an estimated budget for your offer.
