Is Summer Recommended for Visiting Mount Everest? Key Travel Hacks
Dreaming of seeing Mount Everest but stuck wondering if summer is a smart choice? You're far from alone—many travelers worry summer means endless rain or crowded viewpoints. But here's the fact: summer has its own hidden charms, like lush green valleys and calmer starry nights. Let's figure out if summer belongs on your Everest itinerary, plus share the key tricks to make your trip easy and unforgettable. Summer isn't the "only perfect" time to visit, but it's absolutely a great pick—especially if you hate freezing weather and want to see a softer, greener side of Everest. Let break's down why, and how to make the most of it.

Advantages of Visiting Everest Base Camp in Summer
Comfortable Temperatures for Easy Exploration
At Everest Base Camp, daytime temperatures sit around 10–15°C—a far cry from winter's frigid -10°C. You won't have to lug a heavy down jacket everywhere, which makes walking to viewpoints or taking photos so much easier. This is perfect for travelers who prefer milder weather and dislike the extreme cold.
Lush Green Scenery for a Unique Everest Look
Forget the all-white winter views—summer covers the valleys below EBC with soft green grass. You'll spot yaks grazing on pastures and tiny wildflowers along the road. It's a warmer, more lively version of Everest you can't get in other seasons. If you're into natural landscapes and want to capture a different side of Everest in your photos, summer delivers.

Calm Starry Nights for Stargazers
Summer nights at EBC are less windy than spring. On clear evenings, no light pollution means your photos for the Milky Way will be stunning.
Disadvantages of Visiting Everest Base Camp in Summer
Short Afternoon Rains
Summer rains are usually quick—only 1–2 hours in the afternoon, not all day. They often end with rainbows and fresher air. Therefore, pack a lightweight waterproof jacket to stay dry without weighing yourself down. This is helpful for travelers who dislike getting caught in the rain and want to better plan their outdoor activities.
More People Than Winter
Summer is busier than winter, so it's advisable that you visit Everest Base Camp on weekdays, in early June or late July. This tip is especially useful for travelers who prefer a quieter, more peaceful experience and want to steer clear of big crowds.

Conclusion
It's true that every season around Mount Everest has two sides—no time of year is perfect, but each holds something special to lift your spirits on this magical land. No matter when you visit, there's always a little surprise—like a rainbow after rain or a local's warm smile—to make your trip feel meaningful.

plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April
Hi! I would like to plan a 7-8days trip for me and my boyfriend in April (3rd to 10th ideally) to Nepal, Tibet, and, if possible, Bhutan. Do you think it would be doable? Based on what I read, there are some places/things to do to consider: Nepal: Everest Base Camp trek and the Annapurna Circuit, ancient temples, sacred sites like Lumbini, Kathmandu, Tibet: The Potala Palace in Lhasa and the Jokhang Temple. eventually the holy Mount Kailash or the high-altitude plains. Bhutan: Thimphu, Paro, and the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery. To take part in cultural traditions, yoga, meditation... Of course I am open to any recommendations you could make. For your reference, we are both based in Asia: him, in Bangkok and myself in Macau. Thank you so much for the information you could provide and, if possible, an estimated budget for your offer.
